Cherry Balsamic Glazed Ham Recipe


  • 1/4 cup Cherry Balsamic
  • 3 tbsp Honey Mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
  • 1 8-10 lb fully cooked bone-in ham shank with fat trimmed to 1/2 inch thickness
*NOTE:  You may substitute a spiral ham, but cook time will be shorter and you do not need to cut slits.



Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Line a large roasting pan with aluminum foil.  In a small bowl, combine balsamic and honey mustard to make the glaze.  

With a sharp knife, score ham in a diamond pattern, making the lines about 3/4 inch apart.  Transfer ham to a large roasting pan and bake, uncovered. For a fully cooked ham, bake about 10 minutes per lb. Baste ham with glaze periodically until the ham is ready. When suggested internal temp is reach, remove from oven and cover with aluminum foil to rest for 15 minutes before serving.
